About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to contribute to a cross-functional team building transformative AI agents for HR & Finance. This role is crucial in implementing tooling strategies, staying informed about industry trends, and ensuring our AI-driven solutions integrate effectively within the Workday stack. Your technical contributions and team-first attitude will play a key role in delivering high-impact products that scale our AI capabilities and help global organizations simplify complex business processes. You will:
- Collaborate with a team of engineers to deliver AI-powered agents that integrate deeply into HR and Financial workflows, accelerating intelligent decision making.
- Participate in a supportive, iterative team culture that values curiosity, learning, and strong engineering practices
- Contribute to the growth and success of your teammates through knowledge sharing and mentorship
- Take ownership of multiple functional areas in our platform - from development to production ("you build it, you run it")
About YouBasic Qualifications- 8+ years of experience in software engineering
- 5+ years experience with a web development framework
- 2+ years with a Relational DB (PostgreSQL preferred)
Other Qualifications- Experience building and operating SaaS products in cloud environments (AWS preferred)
- Familiarity with the tradeoffs and architecture of modern distributed systems
- Knowledge of software development best practices (DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, observability)
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with Elasticsearch
- Experience working within fast-paced, agile environments and multi-functional teams
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical partners
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and translating complex problems into clear, thoughtful solutions
- Committed to fostering an inclusive, team-oriented environment and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement
