What Your Day Will Look Like:
As a Senior Roadway Design Engineer, you will provide technical leadership and engineering expertise in the planning, design, and delivery of complex transportation infrastructure projects. In this role, you will lead roadway, highway, complete streets, and multimodal transportation designs from concept through final design and construction, applying advanced engineering judgment to geometric layouts, roadway alignments, corridor modeling, grading, drainage coordination, maintenance of traffic plans, and construction documentation.
You will take ownership of technical design deliverables, oversee the preparation and review of engineering plans, specifications, calculations, and technical reports, and ensure project outcomes meet applicable design standards, agency requirements, and quality expectations. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders, you will help guide project execution, coordinate technical resources, and support project planning, schedules, and budgets. You will also play an important role in mentoring junior engineers and designers, strengthening technical capabilities across the team, and contributing to business development efforts, proposals, and the continued growth of Consor's transportation practice.
