Overview

The Senior Project Manager leads complex, multidisciplinary design and delivery efforts for advanced technology facilities, with a focus on cleanroom environments, fab support systems, and high-tech industrial infrastructure. This role manages scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk across all phases of delivery, from early planning and basis of design through construction administration. The Senior Project Manager works closely with clients, discipline leads, subconsultants, and internal project teams to coordinate technical decisions, review design packages, resolve field issues, and maintain project momentum. The role also drives change management, best practices, and proactive communication to support predictable, high-quality project outcomes in fast-moving, highly regulated environments.

Responsibilities
  • Lead planning and execution of complex semiconductor and advanced technology facility projects from pre-design through construction administration, ensuring alignment with client objectives, technical requirements, and project delivery milestones.
  • Develop and manage project scope, budgets, schedules, staffing plans, and execution strategies for large, multidisciplinary design and construction efforts, including design-build and integrated project delivery environments.
  • Coordinate with discipline leads in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, process, controls, and architectural teams to integrate cleanroom, fab support, utility, and high-performance building systems into cohesive project deliverables.
  • Guide basis of design development, design narratives, engineering calculations, and technical reviews for facility systems and mission-critical infrastructure.
  • Oversee QA/QC review gates, interdisciplinary coordination, and milestone deliverable reviews to ensure accuracy, constructability, code compliance, and alignment with client standards and operational requirements.
  • Manage client communication and decision-making throughout the project lifecycle, including executive reporting, design reviews, issue resolution, and presentation of technical impacts.
  • Direct change management processes, including scope evaluation, budget and schedule impact analysis, contingency planning, and negotiation of modifications with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Coordinate with vendors, equipment suppliers, and specialty consultants to support equipment integration, procurement planning, utility interfaces, and technical submittal review for critical systems and long-lead items.
  • Lead construction administration activities such as RFIs, submittals, field observations, site walks, punch list coordination, and resolution of design or installation issues during construction and turnover.
  • Identify project risks early and implement mitigation strategies related to design complexity, schedule constraints, phased occupancy, safety, permitting, and operational continuity.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by coordinating with project teams and contractors to address life safety, construction safety, and operational risk considerations throughout project delivery.
  • Mentor project team members and emerging project managers, reinforcing best practices in communication, technical coordination, documentation control, and client service.
  • Contribute to pursuit support, proposal development, and project planning efforts for new semiconductor and advanced technology opportunities as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Civil/Structural, or a closely related technical discipline is hihgly preferred.
  • Demonstrated project management experience of 10 or more years, with significant focus on the design and delivery of industrial, advanced technology, or high-tech manufacturing facilities such as semiconductor fabrication facilities, data centers, or similar mission-critical environments.
  • Proven experience leading projects in a design-build or integrated project delivery environment, with responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Strong technical understanding of facility systems commonly used in semiconductor and advanced technology projects, such as cleanroom design, HVAC, process utilities, power distribution, plumbing, and building support systems.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing complex interfaces among owners, architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and commissioning partners.
  • Working knowledge of project controls, change management, risk management, QA/QC processes, and construction administration practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings, present technical information clearly, and build trusted client relationships.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desired.
  • Ability to mentor teams, manage competing priorities, and operate effectively in fast-paced, high-accountability project environments.
  • Salary Range: $130,000 - $200,000/year depending on location, education, depth of relevant experience, and any specialized licensure/certifications. Opportunity for ample rewards, leadership incentive components, and generous bonus opportunities.
