Full Job Description
In the role of Senior Project Manager, Environmental Assessments and TRPAPs we'll count on you to:

  • Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's lifecycle (from development & initiation to close-out), primarily for Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) and Transit and Rail Project Assessment Process (TRPAP) projects.
  • Responsible for all aspects of large multidiscipline projects or medium-sized projects with high degree of technical complexity, involving a large project staff
  • Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently
  • Establish and maintain client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
  • Be able to lead pursuits / proposals for planning and design projects such as MCEAs and TRPAPs, including intel-gathering and pre-positioning, leading a pursuit team in the development of a proposal, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams and sub-consultant teams.
  • Conduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholders
  • Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule
  • Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule
  • Work with the Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews
  • Implement thorough and documented QA/QC procedures
  • Supervise large project staffs and act as mentor for developing Project Managers and coordinators.
  • Perform other duties as needed


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of MCEA, TRPAP and/or similar transportation planning and design projects
  • Experience working on MTO, Halton Region, York Region, Peel Region, Durham Region or City of Toronto projects preferred
  • Experience developing and delivering public and stakeholder engagement materials
  • Knowledge and application of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) process, Transit and Rail Project Assessment Process (TRPAP), TAC Manual, MTO Geometrics Design Manual
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Progressive and innovative approach to problem solving an asset

  • Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
  • MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be plus)
  • Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills
