Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Architecture, or Engineering preferred, but experience will be considered in lieu of education.
• 4 years of commercial construction industry experience.
• Experience with fast-paced schedules + effective time-management skills.
• General knowledge of Type I and Type V construction means and methods.
• A proficient knowledge of estimating.
• Basic understanding of accounting and cost control procedures.
• Ability to read plans, drawings and specifications.
• Ability to write accurate scopes for bid docs, and analyze bids from subs.
• Ability to process shop drawings, RFIs and submittals.
• Proficiency with Excel, Bluebeam, BIM/Revit, P6 and Procore.
• Ability to communicate at all levels, from front line to C-suite.
• A passion for building.

Responsibilities

• Establish and build relationships with clients, owners, architects, and subcontractors to encourage repeat business.
• Manage subcontractor qualification, procurement, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and punch lists.
• Identify scope gaps to ensure project requirements are met.
• Manage QAQC procedures to maintain project quality standards.
• Collaborate with the project superintendent to ensure project safety.
• Execute three-week look-ahead schedules for project planning.
• Recruit and mentor younger project engineers and interns, contributing to their development.
