About the role:

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer with the Westinghouse Parts Business (WPB), you will focus on production of machined parts and manufacturing of large circuit breakers, to help support the WPB Fulfillment team. This team works on projects to bolster plant safety and reliability by providing the instrumentation and control, mechanical, and electro-mechanical products and services that our customers require.

You will report to the Manager of Mechanical and Breaker Products and will be located at our New Stanton, PA facility. This is an anchor position that is required on site 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to the production shop floor, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Analyze current manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement. Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
  • Design, select, and oversee the installation of new manufacturing equipment. Ensure all equipment is maintained and operating efficiently.
  • Resolve obsolescence issues through the redesign of parts using current manufacturing technology
  • Facilitate the disposition of quality issues on both purchased and manufactured parts
  • Prepare and review technical packages including drawings, specifications, and procurement requirements
  • Provide technical input during the proposal process
  • Work as part of a cross-functional team including quality engineering, supply chain management, marketing, customer service, and the supplier base


Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
  • 4+ years of experience in an engineering role
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control principles.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
  • SAP knowledge, especially production, requisitioning, and material master data management
  • Experience with writing technical requirements for the procurement of equipment and developing the input for these specifications


We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $85,200.00 to $86,500.00 per year.
