The Identity Lifecycle Management team within the Identity and Access Management Operations is responsible for the execution of established security controls pertaining to identity and access. This includes the centralized provisioning of user identities, the user accounts linked to those identities, management of privileged access, as well as the selection and integration of identity management tools.

The Role:

The incumbent is responsible for supporting the achievement of the Bank's information security objectives of integrity, confidentiality/privacy, availability, and continuity by:
  • Ensuring logical access control is effectively implemented across the Enterprise
  • Addressing logical access and risks commensurate with the Bank's risk appetite
  • Providing support for logical access such as AD, Microsoft Entra, LDAP, workstation local admin, vFilers, privileged access, toxic combinations (i.e. SOD) etc. for applications and platforms
  • Supporting the business to understand their responsibilities with respect to logical access controls


Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Work with business stakeholders in order to define and document Logical Access Control Matrices and related documents.
  • Continuously, provides value and consistency added to the user and customer experience by improvising workflows associated with bank's onboarding and Logical Access platforms
  • Perform required tasks for Logical Access Control; tasks relevant to Identity & Access Management including access request, access provision/deprovision, communication, and documentation of operational processes and procedures, etc.
  • Review and resolve IDM conflicts
  • Process Add/remove/change activities, and provide support on access issues for:
    • ScotiaID and Windows ID (Active Directory)
    • Security Groups (AD On-Prem and MS Entra)
    • GID LDAP Groups
    • Service Accounts
    • LAA Access
    • Local Workstation Administration
  • Utilize troubleshooting skills to understand moderately complex systems/issues, and potential root causes
  • Liaise with 2nd and 3rd level support when required
  • Provide reports and data, as requested, for audits and walkthroughs of internal controls ILM owned processes


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Experience managing users, user permissions in Active Directory and LDAP systems
  • Experience with SailPoint, Centrify/ similar PAM solution for ID/User onboarding and management, and ServiceNow
  • Diploma in Computer Science or technical equivalent
  • Microsoft Azure\Entra platform experience is an asset
  • 3-5 years technical work experience
  • PowerShell Scripting experience for AD related tasks
  • Microsoft products like Excel, PowerPoint, Word is an asset
  • Technical designations an asset (i.e. Security+, MCSE, MCSA)
  • English fluency mandatory - at least B2
  • Spanish fluency would be an asset
