Full Job Description
A career as a Senior Financial Planning Advisor or Senior Financial Planning Advisoress on the Advanced Financial Planning team at National Bank Financial means acting as a trusted financial planning expert for high-net-worth clients and Investment Advisors. In this role, you will make a meaningful impact by leveraging your expertise in financial planning, taxation, and estate planning to deliver tailored strategies and comprehensive financial plans that help clients achieve their financial goals.

Your role
  • Conduct client interviews to assess financial situations and develop comprehensive, personalized financial plans.
  • Provide guidance and expertise to Investment Advisors and clients on financial, tax, retirement, and estate planning matters.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external partners involved in client engagements.
  • Manage multiple complex files simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Identify business opportunities related to the products and services offered by National Bank Financial.
  • Develop practical financial planning strategies and recommendations that address clients' financial and wealth management objectives.

Your team

The Advanced Financial Planning team brings together specialists who work in an agile, proactive, and collaborative manner to deliver expertise in financial planning, taxation, and estate planning across Canada.

Within the Wealth Management sector, you will be part of a national team of financial planners, estate planning specialists, and tax experts. You will collaborate closely with Investment Advisors to help high-net-worth clients navigate complex financial decisions. Our team stands out through its depth of expertise, collaborative approach, and commitment to delivering exceptional advisory services.

Requirements
  • Hold a university degree in a relevant field such as finance, accounting, actuarial science, economics, or a related discipline, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in financial planning.
  • Be a member of Financial Planning Canada.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of financial planning concepts, including personal and corporate taxation and retirement planning.
  • Have experience developing financial strategies and recommendations for high-net-worth clients.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to simplify complex financial concepts for a variety of audiences.
  • Be available to work from National Bank Financial offices in the Greater Toronto Area.
