Full Job Description
The Senior Equipment Engineering Technician provides advanced technical support for manufacturing equipment in a cleanroom environment. This role independently handles complex assignments requiring judgement, initiative, and problem-solving, including difficult or less common equipment issues that may fall outside routine procedures. The Senior Technician provides technical guidance across multiple toolsets, supports technicians in resolving challenging issues, and applies strong knowledge and experience to address critical equipment problems and sustain manufacturing operations. This assignment is a full-time position, with a schedule of Sunday - Wednesday 7:00am - 5:30pm. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Lead assigned projects, processes, or key workstreams related to equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, reliability, or process support. • Independently diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues requiring judgement, initiative, and advanced problem-solving skills. • Determine appropriate methods and approaches for assigned work and recommend practical solutions to equipment-related issues. • Conduct root-case analysis of equipment failures and recommend improvements to prevent recurring problems. • Serve as a technical resource to less experienced employees by sharing knowledge, troubleshooting methods, and best practices. • Provide day-to-day work guidance and mentorship to technicians during complex repairs and troubleshooting activities. • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to resolve equipment-related issues affecting production, quality, and throughput. • Support equipment installations, modifications, and recovery efforts as needed. • Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and uptime. • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of complex issues, corrective actions, solutions, and equipment performance observations. • Ensure adherence to cleanroom protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications/Skills/Attributes • Advanced knowledge of production equipment maintenance and troubleshooting in a cleanroom manufacturing environment. • 8+years of experience in equipment maintenance, engineering support, or related technical roles in a manufacturing or cleanroom environment. • High School diploma or associate degree in a technical field required. • In-depth understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems associated with manufacturing equipment. • High-level troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Proficient root cause analysis skills • Sound judgement and decision-making skills. • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information clearly. • Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, safety, and cleanroom compliance standards Work Conditions/Physical Requirements • Clean Room • Need to be able to lift 50 pounds Competitive Benefits • Health Insurance • Dental Insurance with Orthodontia option • Vision Insurance • Basic Short- and Long-Term Disability • Enhanced Long Term Disability • 401k plan with company match • Employee Stock Purchase Plan • Annual Bonus Program • Health benefits are eligible the first of the month after date of hire
