Title:

Senior Electrical Engineer

KBR is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and validation of electrical systems across commercial and industrial programs. This role focuses on delivering robust, scalable, and cost-effective electrical solutions for product development, manufacturing, and operational environments. The role includes responsibility for cable and wiring harness design, development, and integration.

Work Environment:

  • Location: On-site R&D Lab, (*No Telework/hybrid arrangements available)

  • Travel Requirements: 5-10%

  • Working Hours: Standard

Basic Compensation:

$150,00 - $190,000 USD annually

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidates knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead electrical design efforts from concept through final production.

  • Proficiency with electrical design tools. (KiCAD, OrCAD)

  • Develop schematics, wiring diagrams, and architecture documentation

  • Research, design, and evaluate electrical systems to meet operational and performance requirements.

  • Develop and execute test plans and procedures

  • Design and develop cable assemblies and wiring harnesses, including routing, shielding, and connector selection

  • Define harness requirements including signal integrity, EMI/EMC considerations, and environmental constraints

  • Support program schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation

  • Participate in design reviews and support production and integration activities.

  • Work closely with a small team to execute fast paced, short timeline projects, both individually and as a team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active/Current DoD Secret clearance required

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience performing electrical design on complex systems.

  • Proficiency with electrical design tools. (OrCAD)

  • Experience with test equipment and troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Space Flight hardware.

  • Strong understanding of the full engineering lifecycle from concept to production.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Experience with Solidworks 3D CAD and CAM tools.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
