Senior Director of Engineeringto lead the success of Clio's product suite across international markets, with a primary focus on the UKI, APAC, Canada, and an ever-expanding number of countries worldwide. This is a highly visible role that sits at the intersection of global strategy, product execution, and regional partnership.
What You'll Work On:- Roll up your sleeves and stay close enough to the technology and the code to get things done, and to help your managers and directors better understand what's possible.
- Directly supervise, mentor, and collaborate with the engineering managers and directors who are in the thick of it every day.
- Lead the strategy and execution behind Clio's continued international expansion, building the right foundation - regulatory, business, and cultural - as we grow into new markets.
- Bring a builder's mindset to standing up the strategy, teams, and processes needed to support Clio's international growth, including in markets we haven't yet entered.
- Partner with leadership in Product Management and Product Design to envision, develop, and execute our international expansion roadmap.
- Champion the shift toward an AI-native engineering culture, bringing hands-on experience helping an organization adopt AI tooling and new ways of working.
- Work closely with the Recruiting/People team to actively recruit and hire top talent to support Clio's ambitious international growth plans.
About You:- Experienced senior engineering leader who's still comfortable rolling up your sleeves and contributing hands-on when necessary, even as you operate primarily at the strategy layer.
- Strong "builder" mindset - you thrive on establishing and developing new teams, processes, and markets, rather than just optimizing ones that already exist.
- Proven international SaaS experience, having navigated differing regulatory systems, business practices, and cultural expectations across markets.
- AI proficient, with definitive examples of shifting an engineering organization's culture toward AI-native ways of working.
- Adept at managing and mentoring high-performing teams, nurturing talent, and guiding individuals toward professional growth and development.
- Experienced in crafting long-term strategies and managing technical roadmaps that pave the way for future growth.
- Successful running agile organizations at scale, with a sense of urgency to deliver quality software to solve customer problems.
- Demonstrated experience in promoting positive culture and diversity throughout a large engineering organization to achieve transformational change.
