Job Title: Senior Developer (multiple positions available)

Purpose and Objective:
SAP Labs, LLC seeks a Senior Developer (multiple positions available) at our Palo Alto, CA location responsible for development focusing on design, coding, testing, quality assurance of complex product features in a development team.
Expectations and Tasks:
Resolves complex issues within own area of expertise and supports others in resolving issues. Shows initiative and drives topics to resolution in a high level of quality, speed, reliability and efficiency. Works closely together with others and shares expertise to ensure product success. Constantly improves own work methods to gain state-of-the-art agile software engineering skills. Enhances skills beyond own core functional focus and works on other tasks for the benefit of the team. Has advanced overall product and technical knowledge and shares expertise within and across team and organization. Has advanced knowledge of development processes and product standards. If acting as Scrum Master in the LEAN context, responsible for promoting and supporting Scrum by helping everyone understand Scrum theory, practices, rules, and values. Serve as a 'servant-leader' for the Product Owner and the Development Team. Facilitate Scrum Events on request or as required. Coach the Development Team in self-organization. Remove impediments to the Development Team's progress.
QualificationsEducation and Occupational Experience:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:
Experience must include four (4) years involving each of the following:
- SAP Fiori Elements and SAPUI5 Web Development;
- SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) and OData;
- Cloud-Native Microservices with Distributed Systems including Spring Boot, Java, Node.js, and TypeScript;
- Federated and Scalable Databases, including SAP HANA, Redis, and NoSQL;
- Cloud Development on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and Microsoft Azure;
- Workflow Orchestration with Temporal and Databricks;
- AI development with SAP AI Core and Fiori AI;
- Cloud infrastructure, including Kubernetes, Docker, BTP Kyma, BTP Cloud Foundry, and Istio;
- Performance Testing of Cloud Applications including tools Gatling and SUPA; and
- Automated CI/CD Pipelines with Helm, Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $169,576 - $244,464. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP's commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $169,576 - $277,800. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
