Full Job Description
PURPOSE

This role develops and delivers industry-leading educational experiences that strengthen customer relationships, increase adoption of MGIC products and services, and help customers navigate the evolving mortgage lending environment. The position combines mortgage expertise, instructional design, customer consulting, and executive-level presentation skills to create meaningful business value for customers and MGIC.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • With a focus on MGIC's customers, coordinates and conducts training for products, services, and industry knowledge to enhance insurance sales. Works with managers in Market Engagement and Sales to plan, organize, and conduct training programs.
  • Consults with customers to identify skill gaps, operational challenges and emerging training needs among their teams.
  • In conjunction with Account Managers, establishes programs that are valuable to MGIC and its relationship with the customers.
  • Translates industry changes, underwriting trends, and investor requirements into practical learning experiences for customers.
  • Determines appropriate training methodologies, designs program structures, produces instructional materials, and coordinates any other training aspects of the program.
  • Monitors and evaluates trainees' progress during training and ensures trainees are competent to apply newly acquired skills and technology.
  • Continually looks for new and related content to customize current programs. Anticipates training requirements as they relate to business objectives.
  • Serves as an experienced and knowledgeable resource for MGIC customers regarding their instructional needs.
  • Responsible for expense control and cost effectiveness of training programs.
  • Travels up to 60% of time to customer shops to provide training.


EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND
  • 5+ years of experience in mortgage insurance, mortgage lending, underwriting, or related financial services environments.
  • Current underwriting, investor, government business environment knowledge.
  • Experience designing, developing, and implementing training programs.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and present effectively to audiences ranging from front-line operations staff to senior and executive leadership.
  • Experience utilizing virtual learning platforms, digital content creation tools, learning technologies, and AI-enabled productivity tools to create engaging customer learning experiences preferred.
  • Strong written communication and content development skills.
  • Must be able to prepare written training materials using a style and format appropriate for the intended audience and that accomplish intended results.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects independently and consult with subject matter experts to verify technical information.


FLSA: This position qualifies for the Administrative exemption as the employee is required to exercise discretion and independent judgment in assessing the needs of customers and representing MGIC as a technical expert.

Pay Range:

$87,990.00 - $149,590.00

This range aligns with current market data and reflects our commitment to competitive and equitable compensation. Salary offers are based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and training. The range may vary in certain locations to reflect local market conditions. It is not typical to initiate pay at the top of the range to account for internal equity and allow for future and continued salary growth
