SAP IM Functional Support & Training Consultant - Spanish/English

Chelmsford, Massachusetts, United States | On-site | Contract / C2C | 40 hours per week

About the Opportunity

MaxIT Consulting is seeking a bilingual SAP Inventory Management professional to support inventory, materials, warehouse, and plant users at a client location in Chelmsford, Massachusetts.

This position focuses on functional production support, inventory-process troubleshooting, user assistance, data accuracy, and training.

SAP functional consultants, inventory key users, super users, and experienced SAP business users may be considered when they demonstrate strong hands-on knowledge and the ability to independently support users in Spanish and English.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day functional support for SAP Inventory Management processes.
  • Assist users with goods receipts, goods issues, reservations, transfer postings, stock transfers, movement types, physical inventory, stock status, and inventory adjustments.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, failed material movements, blocked transactions, document-flow issues, and master-data-related incidents.
  • Support cycle counts, physical inventory execution, stock reconciliation, and inventory-accuracy activities.
  • Determine whether issues relate to configuration, master data, interfaces, transaction execution, or user procedures.
  • Support inventory personnel, materials teams, warehouse users, production teams, supervisors, and other business stakeholders.
  • Deliver practical SAP support and user training in Spanish and English.
  • Maintain inventory SOPs, work instructions, troubleshooting guides, and training materials.
  • Coordinate with SAP MM, WM, and PP resources when incidents cross functional boundaries.
  • Monitor or help troubleshoot basic IDoc, EDI, and interface issues affecting inventory transactions.
  • Support testing, production stabilization, incident resolution, and continuous process improvement.
  • Participate in rotational-shift coverage according to the schedule explained during the interview process.

Required Qualifications
  • Professional working proficiency in both Spanish and English.
  • Ability to support and train Spanish-speaking inventory, warehouse, or plant users.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP Inventory Management processes.
  • Experience with goods movements, reservations, stock transfers, physical inventory, movement types, and inventory adjustments.
  • Ability to investigate inventory discrepancies and guide users through practical resolutions.
  • Experience working with inventory, materials, warehouse, production, or plant stakeholders.
  • Availability to work on-site in Chelmsford five days per week.
  • Availability for 40 hours per week and rotational shifts.
  • Legal ability to work in the United States under a structure compatible with a C2C engagement.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Approximately five or more years of SAP or inventory-operations experience.
  • Exposure to SAP MM, WM, or PP integration.
  • Experience with cycle counting, batch-managed materials, serialized inventory, or high-volume inventory operations.
  • Working knowledge of IDocs, EDI, interfaces, and failed transaction monitoring.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
  • SAP certification or formal functional training.
  • Experience in production support, AMS, hypercare, warehouse, or manufacturing environments.

Important Information

SAP PP is not mandatory for this position. Candidates may qualify through strong SAP IM and inventory-operations expertise. Cross-functional exposure is preferred but should not be treated as an automatic exclusion.

Experienced SAP inventory business users may qualify when they demonstrate substantial functional knowledge, troubleshooting capability, process ownership, documentation experience, and the ability to train other users.

Candidates outside Massachusetts may be considered if they can relocate before the agreed start date. The exact rotational-shift structure and operational coverage expectations will be discussed during the interview process.

Employer or client sponsorship is not available for this engagement.
