ResponsibilitiesMaxLinear is seeking a Senior Manager or Director of RF/Mixed-Signal Design to join our team. In this role, you will focus on the following:
- Lead, develop, and grow the RF/Mixed-Signal Design team in Irvine & Carlsbad that develops IPs for 200G and 400G data center SERDES applications, including DSPs, Drivers, and TIAs
- Work closely with senior technical leads and be involved in design and architecture selection
- Develop the team through coaching, performance management, and career growth
- Own execution from concept through tape-out and production release: schedules, staffing, risk, and delivery
- Set design-review and tape-out readiness standards for quality and manufacturability
- Work with Systems, Digital, CAD, and Technology teams to improve design flows and methodology
- Work with customers from development through release to production
- Represent the team in executive technical and business reviews
Qualifications- Extensive analog/mixed-signal or RF IC design experience in advanced CMOS, with a proven tape-out and productization record
- Proven record of growing engineering teams, including hiring senior talent
- Strong communication and executive presentation skills and customer-facing experience
- For Senior Manager: BS in Electrical Engineering or related + 11 years of experience, or MS + 9 years of experience, or Ph.D. + 6 years of experience
- For Director: BS in Electrical Engineering or related + 13 years of experience, or MS + 11 years of experience, or Ph.D. + 8 years of experience
Compensation and BenefitsMaxLinear has a Total Compensation philosophy which includes base salary and annual discretionary bonus eligibility and many positions also include stock-based compensation.
MaxLinear's good faith estimate starting base salary range for Senior Manager is: $222,000 to $272,000 Annually
MaxLinear's good faith estimate starting base salary range for Director is: $195,000 to $259,000 Annually
