As the Resident Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality within our operations. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing, modifying, and applying robust quality evaluation and control systems that enhance our processes and products. How You'll Make an Impact
  • Deploy to supplier sites as a dedicated quality escalation resource to stabilize production following critical technical, quality, or delivery disruptions.
  • Lead immediate containment activities to protect customers, prevent defect escapes, and maintain production continuity.
  • Develop and manage supplier recovery plans with clear actions, milestones, accountability, and executive-level reporting.
  • Conduct structured root cause analysis using industry-standard problem-solving methodologies to identify true failure mechanisms.
  • Perform detailed process audits and manufacturing reviews to identify risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Define, implement, and validate robust corrective and preventive actions that address both immediate issues and systemic weaknesses.
  • Partner with supplier industrial engineering and operations teams to improve process capability, product quality, and production efficiency.
  • Monitor, verify, and sustain process improvements through on-site reviews and performance data.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving and process improvement expertise, with hands-on experience in Kaizen, supplier recovery, and critical manufacturing process reviews.
  • Demonstrate ability to identify technical root causes, define sustainable process enhancement.
  • Extensive experience in quality methodologies and manufacturing management. A strong background in working with cross-functional teams, particularly in turbine hot gas parts.
  • Ability to travel 20-30% (both domestically & internationally).
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
