Full Job Description
The Department of Neurosurgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure research track. Expertise is required in the specific area of immunology, bioengineering, tumor biology, and immuno-oncology. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include developing both collaborative and independent research programs focused on primary and metastatic brain cancers. The research focus will synergize with the existing translational program to develop novel therapies for brain tumors. Preferred applicant may also have limited teaching opportunities to include mentoring undergraduate and graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, as well as providing formal lectures within the Department of Neurosurgery and the Perelman School of Medicine.
