Full Job Description
This position will operate in a hybrid work environment, 3 days per week in the office (Philadelphia, PA).

OVERVIEW:

The Relationship Manager, Endowment & Foundation Management is responsible for developing and maintaining foundation, endowment, charitable trust, and other nonprofit client relationships through excellence in client service. This role serves as the primary point of contact for delivering advice and account administration to client stakeholders including staff, executives, and board members. The Relationship Manager will partner closely with Portfolio Managers to ensure a seamless Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) client experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Relationship Management and Client Service

  • Manage designated client relationships and support senior executives in delivering integrated philanthropic advice and solutions to foundation, endowment, charitable trust, and other nonprofit clients, donors, and prospects.
  • Promote overall client satisfaction through timely service delivery, proactive issue resolution, and regular communication with clients and internal partners.
  • Prepare customized client meeting materials, including relationship objectives and financial reports; Lead client meetings and complete follow-up activities.


Account Administration
  • Provide daily administration of investment management accounts for foundations and endowments, coordinating with Endowment & Foundation team members, other Glenmede departments, client staff, board and committee members, attorneys, and accountants.
  • Facilitate account onboarding, daily transactions, client information maintenance, relationship management system updates, client inquiries, issue analysis and resolution, and account and trust reviews.
  • Understand and manage transactional and regulatory risk.
Team Development
  • Develop junior team members in support of delivering excellent client service.
  • Provide coaching and training to build technical expertise in the nonprofit sector.
  • Review staff work product for accuracy and completeness.
Firm Building
  • Participate in department-specific and firm-wide initiatives that expand capabilities, address unmet business needs, improve the client experience, develop more efficient processes, and advance team, office, and business capabilities


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience working in a regulated investment management environment or nonprofit finance experience.
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience advising nonprofit, foundation, or endowment clients, with a background in accounting, finance, and tax preparation.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Professional designation such as CPA or CFP preferred.
  • Experience and proven success with charitable trust administration, nonprofit clients, donor advised funds, foundations, and endowments strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of philanthropy and foundation management, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-based client service environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of exempt organization entity structures, reporting needs, and the operational challenges exempt organizations face.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with clients, co-workers, and professional advisors.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, particularly with financial calculations.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work outside normal business hours, as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel; experience with CRM and portfolio accounting systems.
