Overview

Manager of Perioperative Services

Department: Surgery Services / Peri-AnesthesiaCentral Maine Medical Center | Lewiston, MEFull-Time | Days | Exempt

 

The Manager partners closely with physicians, nursing leadership, anesthesia teams, and hospital administration to ensure safe, efficient, patient-centered perioperative care while supporting operational excellence and positive patient outcomes.

 

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of Surgical Services and Peri-Anesthesia departments
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, workflow, productivity, and department performance
  • Ensure high-quality patient care, patient safety, and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and hospital leadership
  • Lead quality improvement and performance initiatives
  • Assist with budgeting, resource management, and operational planning

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

  • Must have a current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
  • BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience necessary.Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), required for all hires after 1/11/2021.
  • CNOR; preferred.Current ACLS (AHA) Certification upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current PALS (AHA) certification for those facilities caring for pediatric population.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in Surgical Nursing

Pay Transparency

Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $84,905.60 to $122,990.40 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
