We are currently seeking a REACT DEVELOPER - FRONT END to join our team in Rockville, Maryland (US-MD), United States (US).
Job Summary: The React Front End Developer will design and build responsive, accessible, high performance front end applications that integrate with .NET based backend services. You will architect UI components, optimize rendering performance, and enhance user experience for large scale federal systems.
Job Duties: Front End Engineering
• Build intuitive, reusable, modular UI components using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.
• Implement responsive design, accessibility (WCAG), and performance optimization patterns.
• Develop enterprise UI component libraries and enforce front end code standards.
• Integrate user interfaces with backend REST APIs using JSON and XML.
Quality & Collaboration
• Conduct UI performance tuning and troubleshoot cross browser/front end issues.
• Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, backend developers, architects, and product owners.
• Drive quality assurance through code reviews, design reviews, and testing best practices.
AI Assisted Engineering & DevOps
• Use GitHub Copilot / OpenAI Codex for faster, higher quality development and documentation.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and support deployments in Azure/AWS environments.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelors degree, One-and-one- half (1.5) years of additional experience can substitute for one (1) year of a typical degree program.
- Minimum 6 years of experience developing front end applications using React and TypeScript.
- Minimum 6 years of experience with UI performance, component design, and front end architectural patterns.
- Minimum 6 years of experience integrating with REST APIs and backend .NET services.
- Minimum 6 years of experience with Git, CI/CD, and Agile team environments.
- Minimum 2 years of experience using GitHub Copilot or equivalent AI engineering tools.
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in cloud environments (Azure or AWS).
- Familiarity with containerization, micro frontends, and modern front end pipelines.
- Knowledge of accessibility, security, and enterprise UI governance.
- Experience with SQL Server, modern DevOps practices, and GitLab/GitHub workflows.
NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this role is $106,480 - $159,720. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance. If the position offered in temporary, the position will not be eligible for incentive compensation.
