Property Coverage Litigation Attorney

Clyde & Co is seeking an insurance coverage litigation attorney with experience in handling property coverage matters. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex, high-exposure litigation matters alongside a collaborative team of experienced litigation attorneys in one of the firm's fastest growing regions.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in all phases of complex litigation from case inception through resolution, including trial preparation and trial support.
  • Collaborate directly with partners and clients on case strategy and litigation management.
  • Conduct legal research, analyze findings, and draft memoranda.
  • Prepare and analyze pleadings, discovery, motions, supporting briefs, and legal correspondence regarding insurance coverage litigation.
  • Meet and confer with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.
  • Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations.
  • Take a proactive role in managing matters, deadlines, and communication with clients.
  • Analyze insurance policies and claim materials, draft coverage opinions, and provide recommendations for clients;


Education and Experience Required
  • Admitted to practice law in California and in good standing with the bar.
  • Insurance coverage experience is preferred, but we are open to considering candidates from other areas of litigation that are interested in insurance coverage litigation.
  • Excellent academic credentials and/or solid work history.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Interpersonal, leadership, and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to handle matters of a highly sensitive nature.

The salary range for this position is dependent on the level at which the candidate is hired:
  • Associate: $160,000 - $190,000
  • Senior Associate: $185,000 - $240,000
  • Senior Counsel: $230,000 - $275,000


The range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
