IT Project ManagerLocation: Tampa, FloridaPosition SummaryThe IT Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering technology projects that support the company's business and operational objectives. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities independently, and work effectively with business and IT teams in a matrixed organization.
The Project Manager will apply sound project management practices while providing exceptional customer service, communication, and leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Manage multiple IT projects from initiation through implementation and closeout.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables.
- Manage project scope, risks, issues, dependencies, resources, and change requests.
- Lead project meetings and communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and leadership.
- Coordinate cross-functional IT and business resources in a matrixed environment.
- Work closely with application, infrastructure, security, data, and business teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Coordinate requirements, testing, implementation, and production deployments.
- Manage third-party vendors and implementation partners as needed.
- Apply Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies based on project needs.
- Maintain appropriate project documentation and reporting.
- Exercise independent judgment and escalate issues appropriately.
- Adapt to changing priorities and business requirements while maintaining project commitments.
- Provide exceptional service and communication to internal business partners.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Project Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of IT project management experience.
- Required experience with Guidewire or a comparable Guidewire implementation/environment.
- Experience managing enterprise application implementations, upgrades, integrations, or technology projects.
- Experience working with cross-functional and matrixed teams.
- Working knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and/or hybrid project methodologies.
- Understanding of SDLC, application integrations, cybersecurity, cloud/SaaS, and enterprise IT environments.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to influence without direct authority.
Preferred Qualifications- P&C insurance industry experience.
- Experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, or related Guidewire products.
- PMP, CAPM, CSM, or other project management certification.
- Experience with cloud migrations, cybersecurity, data, infrastructure, or enterprise application projects.
- Experience managing technology vendors and implementation partners.
Work EnvironmentThis position is based in
Tampa, Florida and requires the ability to work effectively in a professional office and technology environment. Occasional travel, after-hours work, or participation in system implementations and production deployments may be required.
