Full Job Description
As the Project Manager and Industrial Cleaning Expert, you are responsible for managing all industrial cleaning activities in the Baytown plant to ensure the work is performed in a safe and cost-effective manner. Is accountable for the efficiency improvements of industrial cleaning by improving scope development and driving technology and automation into the activities.
Major Responsibilities
• Lead day to day management for contractors associated with industrial cleaning activities
• Develop a library for all repetitive hydroblasting jobs to standardize hours and methodologies
• Lead training effort to support implementation and continuous improvement of new technologies
• Collaborate with cleaning partners to develop automation where it currently doesnt exist
• Collaboration with planners for scope development and assist to determine job duration estimates
• Review planned vs. actual hours to identify opportunities for improvement
• Serve as site subject matter expert in industrial cleaning and automation technology, and share this knowledge regionally and/or globally
• Develop process for communication and feedback of job progress
• Partner with TAR group to develop overall contracting strategy for industrial cleaning
• Verify the right tools are being used for the job, and make recommendations as appropriate
• Coordinate to address scope changes and resolve conflicts between operations, maintenance, and contractors
• Accountable to ensure project meets safety, quality, cost and schedule targets
• Oversee and manage the daily activities of the crane and rigging specialist. Also, approx. 40 daily industrial cleaning contractors and an additional 90 during TAR and outages
What You Offer
Basic Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 14 years of industrial cleaning experience OR Associates degree and at least 9 years of industrial cleaning experience OR Bachelors degree and at least 6 years of industrial cleaning experience
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as an Industrial Cleaning Project Manager or Site Supervisor
• The eligibility to apply for and obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) within a reasonable timeframe
Preferred Qualifications
• Preferred strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of maintenance processes
Knowledge & Skills:
• Must have strong knowledge in the operation of industrial cleaning equipment, including safety requirements and industry guidelines
• Extensive knowledge of current automation technology, including commitment to drive future development opportunities
• Must have strong demonstrated Project Management skills and knowledge of the Scoping, Planning, Scheduling, Execution and Controlling processes
• Proven leadership ability to manage people and motivate others to positively influence performance
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required
• Well-developed teamwork and collaboration skills to build positive relationships and handle conflict resolution
• Must be self-motivated, energetic, dependable, honest, and thorough
• Strong planning, organizational, analytical, and networking skills are required
• Must have the ability to manage conflicting priorities to meet multiple deadlines
• Proficient computer skills, ex. MS Office & SAP
