Full Job Description
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

This position reports to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for acting as an integral support team member for the goal of executing a successful project. This position supports all levels and members of the project management team and ensures smooth operations during a Construction project from preliminary pricing to finish. This position must provide consistent excellent customer service to clients and to trade partners.

The Project Engineer will handle the following direct project management responsibilities:
  • Ensure consistent supply of information between the field, the client, the architect, the Project Manager, property management, subcontractors, and other parties involved on the project
  • Issue subcontractor Master Agreements, Notices to Proceed, and Change Orders
  • Perform all Document Control duties including but not limited to RFPs, project directories, drawing logs, RFIs and RFI logs, submittals and submittal logs, schedule, bulletins, and meeting minutes, Notices to Proceed, change orders, contracts/SPAs or work orders.
  • Maintain organized project files on company servers and hard copies
  • Provide all necessary information required by project Superintendent to ensure the Superintendent is set up for success
  • Assist Project Managers with bid process through RFP, bid tracking, and coordination of access for job walks
  • Provide field support, inspection and verification of materials, equipment, construction workmanship, and ensures compliance with drawings, specifications, and code requirements
  • Provide any additional support required for successful completion of the project
  • Review, evaluate, approve, and monitor cost schedule and technical scope baselines
  • Determine long lead items for pre-order requirements
  • Schedule and coordinate activities and resources needed for efficient execution of work
  • Promptly notify the Client PM when priorities, resource conflicts, and/or long lead items prevent meeting the deadline for completion of planned work, so that appropriate action can be taken to adjust project schedules
  • Prepare project status reports, and provide data to others for reporting, as needed


YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree, concentration in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, and/or Civil Engineering preferred
  • Competency with Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Projects)
  • Mastery of company software (currently Sage 100 Contractor)
  • Extreme attention to detail and follow through
  • Resourceful and knowledgeable in the construction process


The US base salary range for this full-time position is $75,000 - $90,000 annually. Full-time positions will be eligible for a full healthcare benefit package after 60 days of employment and a safe harbor company 401k match starts after 90 days of employment. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training. Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week.
