Project Engineer
JOB SUMMARYThe Project Engineer provides technical and operational support from project award through completion. The role coordinates engineering documentation, submittals, procurement support, and communication with customers, contractors, manufacturers, and vendors. This position serves as a technical resource to help ensure projects meet customer specifications, quality standards, budgets, and schedules. Based on business needs, responsibilities may also include engineering design support, CAD/BIM coordination, and technical drawing review.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Review project specifications, construction drawings, contracts, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with customer requirements and company standards.
- Prepare, review, and coordinate project submittals, shop drawings, Requests for Information (RFIs), engineering documentation, change orders, and related project records.
- Coordinate with customers, contractors, architects, manufacturers, vendors, project managers, and field personnel to resolve technical issues and support project execution.
- Review engineering documentation, fabrication details, material requirements, and procurement activities to ensure project accuracy and timely delivery.
- Monitor project schedules, approvals, fabrication status, shipping dates, and documentation while maintaining accurate project records.
- Identify engineering issues, evaluate alternatives, and recommend solutions that support project quality, schedule, and customer expectations.
- Provide technical support to installation teams, service technicians, project managers, and other internal departments to resolve field and product-related issues.
- Depending on business needs and project assignment, prepare, review, or coordinate CAD drawings, Building Information Modeling (BIM) files, engineering layouts, and other digital design documentation.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES- This position has may have supervisory responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Primarily office environment.
- Frequent use of computers and standard office equipment.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- May occasionally visit customer sites, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, or construction sites.

ccasional travel (up to 20%) to customer locations, project sites, branch offices, vendor facilities, or training events, as business needs require.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - High School diploma or equivalent is required. Associate or bachelor's degree, preferred.
- Combined experience in supporting engineering, construction, project management, commercial doors, building products, manufacturing practices or related practices of 3 or more years with education is desirable.
- Previous experience preparing submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, change orders, and project documentation is preferred.
- Depending on business needs, experience using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD), Building Information Modeling (BIM), Revit, or other engineering design software is preferred.
COMPENSATIONThis compensation information is a good faith estimate of the salary or hourly wage range that DuraServ reasonably expects to pay upon hire, and is provided in accordance with applicable state and local pay transparency laws. Similar positions located outside of a covered jurisdiction may not necessarily receive the same compensation. The anticipated compensation starting range for this role is $89,000.00 and reflects the range DuraServ expects to pay at the time of hire, based on factors including geographic market, skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
