DescriptionThis position is responsible for assisting the Programs Department Manager primarily by providing direction, leadership and technical guidance to Assistant, Staff and Senior Level Contingent Workers and Employee Owners serving various Programs. Areas of responsibility include general roles supporting the overall Programs Department to successfully grow the team, facilitate staff development, assist with career pathing, hire new staff and manage work assignments. Additional duties include, but may not be limited to, the following:
- Possess an educational background and professional experience within one of the Right-of-Way Solutions technical fields of GIS Mapping, Public Involvement, Real Estate, Environmental or Routing & Siting.
- Providing administrative, supervisory and technical direction for Assistant, Staff and Senior Level Program Section personnel.
- Supporting or leading portions of Department meetings and Section meetings.
- Assigning work and reviewing performance to facilitate the efficient, cost-effective utilization of staff.
- Monitoring and maintaining staffing levels to meet project requirements while maintaining billable goals.
- Conducting performance reviews and career development plans for the Assistant, Staff and Senior Level Employee Owners within the Program Section.
- Assist the Department Manager with recruiting, field assignments, development, training, and retention of staff.
- Interpreting policies, procedures, and goals of organization to staff.
- Demonstrating creativity, foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving problems.
- Working with the Department Manager to define objectives and requirements, organizing projects and developing standards and guidelines for the Right-of-Way Solutions group.
- Advancing and developing Department tools, processes and work flows to increase efficiency in both office and field work.
- Assisting the Department Manager and Technical Service Area leader(s) in setting quality review assignments and performing quality reviews.
- Attending and participating in Division and Department meetings.
- Areas of direct responsibility/focus for the Programs Section Manager include:
- Conducting annual performance reviews, goal setting and interim performance feedback for Assistant, Staff and Senior Level Employee Owners within the Programs Section.
- Assist with staff planning, workload, and career development for Assistant, Staff and Senior Level Contingent Workers and Employee Owners within the Programs Section.
- Contribute to the evaluations of outstanding performers in Contingent Worker roles that may be considered for Employee Owner Conversions.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in a Right-of-Way Solutions discipline from accredited program.
- Minimum five years related professional experience in Right-of-Way Solutions project execution including leading teams in the field or office, coordinating staff and/or project management.
- Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills.
- Must possess the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management and clients.
- Position requires the ability to thoughtfully and positively influence, lead and manage change.
- Candidates must possess strong project execution and interpersonal skills as well as a strategic perspective.
- Must be proficient in the use of basic computer software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Compensation $80,000.00-250,000.00 Yearly
The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
