Full Job Description
Product Engineers are responsible for managing and developing new products for the Tiers customer programs, with a strong focus on internal and external customer deliverables. This role includes ownership of design feasibility, part development, testing coordination, and launch support throughout the product lifecycle. This position works closely with customers, internal engineering teams, manufacturing, and program management to ensure successful product development and launch.

These positions sit fully on-site in our offices in either Auburn Hills or Sterling Heights, MI.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage and communicate new product development activities on a daily basis
  • Support design activities for new products, including part and process feasibility
  • Coordinate and manage testing requirements for new products, as required
  • Maintain and manage Engineering Development & Testing (ED&T) budgets for assigned programs (weekly)
  • Support and maintain APQP databases (Phase 0 & 1) for assigned programs (weekly)
  • Create and maintain DFMEA, DVP, and Open Issues tracking documents
  • Support ongoing customer communication and technical meetings (weekly)
  • Support tool trials and pre-production build activities, as needed
  • Support launch activities at US Farathane manufacturing facilities and customer sites, including SOP and post-90-day launch support

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience (preferred)
  • Minimum 4-6 years of automotive engineering experience
  • GM experience highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding processes
  • Experience supporting APQP, DFMEA, DVP&R, and product launch activities
  • Strong communication, organization, and cross-functional collaboration skills
