Full Job Description
About the Role:

Remitly is looking for a Principal Program Manager to own the operating rhythm of the Core Transfer Experience (CTX) organization. CTX owns the end-to-end consumer remittance journey - the home screen, the send flow, recipient and payment setup, and the post-submit experience - across multiple squads in Seattle, Vancouver, and Kraków. Nearly every customer who sends money with Remitly moves through what this org builds.

Reporting to the GM of Core Transfer Experience, you will design and run the operating system that keeps a distributed, multi-site product organization aligned and moving: the meeting cadence, the goal-tracking system, the executive communications, and the cross-squad programs that no single squad owns. You will also be the GM's closest operational partner, ensuring her attention lands on the decisions that need her and that commitments made in leadership forums are carried through.

This is an ownership role, not a coordination role. You will hold Directors to commitments, escalate on the GM's behalf, and make judgment calls about what reaches her and what you resolve yourself. Success looks like leaders coming to you before they come to her.

You Will:
  • Own the CTX operating cadence end to end - leadership team meetings, weekly check-ins, monthly demos, monthly goals reviews, and operational excellence reviews - including agendas, pre-reads, decision capture, and the follow-through that makes each cycle sharper than the last
  • Run the org's goal-setting and tracking system across a large portfolio of org-level goals, partnering with squad leads on status and surfacing slippage early enough to change the outcome
  • Lead cross-squad programs that span multiple teams and have no natural owner, from launch readiness through organizational change initiatives, driving each to a committed date
  • Produce executive communications on behalf of the org, including the monthly CTX update to the CEO and senior leadership, all-hands materials, and business reviews
  • Ensure the GM is prepared for executive forums and that her attention is directed to the highest-leverage decisions - triaging inbound against org priorities, assembling pre-reads and briefing materials, and closing the loop on commitments made in rooms she is in
  • Partner with the GM, Recruiting, and Finance on org mechanics: headcount planning, requisition pipeline, interview loop coordination, and onboarding across three sites
  • Build the systems, templates, and documentation that let these processes scale and survive without you personally running them
  • Identify where the organization is losing time or clarity, and fix it without being asked

You Have:
  • 10+ years in program management, business operations, product operations, or a chief-of-staff-adjacent role, ideally supporting a product or engineering organization
  • A record of driving outcomes across teams you do not manage, where your influence came from credibility and relationships rather than reporting lines
  • Experience designing and running an organizational operating rhythm - meeting cadences, goal frameworks, reporting mechanisms - not just executing one someone else built
  • Strong written communication; you can turn a messy leadership discussion into a short update an executive will actually read, and you write well enough to draft in a leader's voice
  • Experience working closely with a senior executive - you know how to prepare a leader for a hard room, and you are comfortable representing their priorities when they are not present
  • Sound judgment about what to escalate, what to handle, and what to let go
  • Experience operating across time zones and cultures, including regular working overlap with European colleagues
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward building structure where none exists

Nice to Have:
  • Experience in fintech, payments, or another regulated industry
  • Familiarity with distributed, multi-site engineering organizations
  • Working knowledge of Jira, Workday, or comparable planning and people tooling
