About the role:

As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will serve as a technical leader responsible for the design, optimization, and reliability of instrumentation, control systems, and electrical systems. You will provide strategic direction, advanced engineering expertise, and leadership in improving plant performance, safety, and operational efficiency.

You will report to the Manager of Instrumentation and Controls - Electrical Engineering. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, blending remote flexibility with regular on-site collaboration at either our Cranberry Township, PA office or Rock Hill, SC office

Key Responsibilities:
  • Be a SME for instrumentation, control systems, electrical systems, and automation architecture
  • Engineering design for nuclear products and projects including electrical system design, instrumentation and controls designs, and system wiring
  • Use software packages such as Mathcad, Matlab, PSPice or equivalent.
  • Lead development of advanced control and electrical system strategies.
  • Work with internal groups on similar engineering levels to obtain information necessary to perform work assignments
  • Plan and schedule work to meet assignment requirements.
  • Use appropriate standards, techniques, procedures and criteria for development of engineering design documents including calculations and specifications.
  • Mentor junior engineers across instrumentation, controls, and electrical disciplines
  • Ensure compliance with safety, electrical codes, and regulatory requirements

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $103,200 to $129,000 per year.
