Full Job Description
Process Control Manager to join our manufacturing operation in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.

This is a key plant leadership position responsible for driving quality, process control, continuous improvement, and product consistency throughout the operation. The Process Control Manager will partner closely with production and plant leadership to ensure our products meet company standards, customer expectations, and applicable regulatory requirements.

We are looking for a leader who understands the manufacturing floor, knows how to solve problems at the source, and can build strong quality practices through training, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and continuously improve the plant's quality assurance and process control programs.
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and communicate quality and safety strategies throughout the facility.
  • Ensure company quality standards and customer requirements are consistently achieved.
  • Investigate customer complaints, product quality concerns, and non-conformance issues and drive corrective actions.
  • Manage quality systems related to corrective actions, customer complaint resolution, change control, procedures, standards, policies, and documentation.
  • Perform internal Quality Management System (QMS) audits and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Collect, analyze, and report quality data, trends, and performance metrics.
  • Develop and improve inspection, testing, finished-product disposition, and rework standards.
  • Coordinate and support customer, third-party, and regulatory audits.
  • Prepare and lead quality review meetings with plant management.
  • Partner with production leadership to improve product quality, reliability, and manufacturing processes.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to departments on issues involving product quality, process control, and plant safety.
  • Identify employee training needs and develop or coordinate training that supports quality and safety standards.
  • Audit and calibrate production-floor testing equipment.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of paper grades, their applications, and the production of corrugated sheets.
  • When needed, partner with Safety and Human Resources on safety training, accident investigations, work-related injuries, and other plant safety initiatives.

What We're Looking For

Required:
  • High school diploma/GED and/or relevant work experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to effectively lead, coach, train, and develop employees.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret production reports, operating instructions, procedures, and training materials.
  • Ability to calculate percentages, costs, proportions, volumes, and other manufacturing-related measurements.
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred:
  • College degree.
  • 5+ years of corrugated manufacturing experience.
  • 5+ years of proven management and leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of corrugated paper grades, sheet production, quality systems, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with QMS, internal auditing, corrective actions, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

The successful Process Control Manager will be a visible, engaged leader who can build relationships throughout the plant while maintaining high standards.

You should be comfortable coaching employees, resolving conflicts, leading meetings, making difficult decisions, managing multiple priorities, and remaining composed in high-pressure situations.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who doesn't simply identify quality problems, you'll work alongside the team to understand the cause, implement solutions, and prevent those problems from happening again.

Work Environment

This position works primarily within an active corrugated manufacturing environment and may involve extended periods of standing and walking. The plant environment may include heat, noise, vibration, dust, fumes, uneven surfaces, and moving mechanical equipment.

Travel may occasionally be required.
