Centered around KRAFTON Security Services (KSS), we provide core capabilities and services required for game security, including Anti-Cheat, Anti-Tamper, security operations, data analysis, and ML-based detection.
KSS is a Game Trust Platform that integrates KRAFTON's game security technologies and operational capabilities. It is evolving into a standardized security platform that multiple game studios can adopt quickly and reliably.
DUTIESDevelop KSS mobile Anti-Cheat and Anti-Tamper features to detect and respond to mobile security threats that may occur in Android and iOS game runtime environments, such as tampering, bypasses, automation, and unauthorized tool usage.
Based on an understanding of mobile operating systems and runtime behavior, you will analyze client-side security threats and design and implement security features that can be reliably applied across various mobile game environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Research and develop mobile Anti-Cheat and Anti-Tamper features for Android and iOS
- Detect and respond to mobile game client security threats such as tampering, repackaging, hooking, debugging, rooting/jailbreaking, and automation tools
- Analyze Android/iOS internals, runtimes, system calls, and security mechanisms
- Design and implement features for memory/process protection, runtime environment verification, and unauthorized tool detection
- Analyze new mobile cheat and attack techniques and research defensive technologies
- Provide technical support and improvements to ensure KSS security features are reliably applied across various mobile game environments
QUALIFICATIONS- 5+ years of experience with C++ software development skills and understanding of object-oriented design
- Experience developing mobile Anti-Cheat, Anti-Tamper, DRM, security solutions, or client protection technologies
- Understanding of system programming concepts such as memory management, and multithreading
- Experience developing native clients for Android or iOS, or equivalent understanding
- Basic knowledge of mobile operating systems, runtimes, process/memory structures, and executable file formats
- Ability to analyze problems from a security perspective and design solutions while considering potential bypass methods
- Ability to learn new technologies and solve unfamiliar problems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience designing, developing, or operating SaaS-based security solutions such as Anti-Cheat or Anti-Tamper strongly preferred
- Understanding of Android or iOS platform internals
- Experience with mobile native development or analysis technologies such as Android NDK, JNI, Objective-C/Swift, Mach-O, and ELF
- Understanding of ARM/AArch64 architecture and assembly
- Experience using reverse engineering and debugging tools such as IDA, Ghidra, Frida, LLDB, and lldb-server
- Understanding of mobile security techniques such as rooting/jailbreak detection, hooking detection, repackaging prevention, integrity verification, and obfuscation
- Research experience in malware analysis, vulnerability analysis, reverse engineering, or anti-debugging
- Experience operating security features reliably in large-scale live mobile game environments
- Experience in low-level mobile system programming with consideration for performance, stability, and compatibility
In California, the expected salary range for this position is $146,000-$200,000. The listed expected salary range represents a good faith estimate and the actual pay may depend on a variety of job-related factors that can include experience, education, skills, and location.
