About Our TeamThe Vibration/Acoustics Simulation Department (01521) within the Engineering Sciences Center (01500) specializes in replicating normal, hostile, and abnormal environments through tailored and controllable vibration/shock, acoustic, and thermal tests. In addition to vibration and acoustics capabilities, the department also has the ability to accurately take mass properties measurements for small and large-scale test articles. Test data is used to characterize the structural response of systems to a variety of environments. The work includes integration with environments engineering and advancement of diagnostics and experimental capabilities. These integrated capabilities support applied and fundamental laboratory research, model validation, experimental model development, and characterization of hardware behavior during operational environments in the development, qualification, and acceptance phases of a broad range of national security missions that include nuclear weapons deterrents, satellite assets, missile defense, conventional military technologies, infrastructure and energy security, and other applications.
Posting DurationThis posting will be open for application submissions for a minimum of three (3) calendar days, including the 'posting date'. Sandia reserves the right to extend the posting date at any time.
