Full Job Description
The Mechanical HVAC Engineer II supports the design and coordination of HVAC systems for commercial, educational, healthcare, laboratory, and institutional buildings. Working under the guidance of senior engineers and project managers, this role takes on increasing responsibility for design, coordination, and project delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design of HVAC and mechanical systems for building projects.
  • Perform engineering calculations, equipment selection, and system layouts.
  • Prepare construction drawings and coordinate designs using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Coordinate with architectural and other engineering disciplines.
  • Participate in site visits and field verification of existing conditions.
  • Support construction administration by reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and assisting with field questions.
  • Attend project meetings and communicate effectively with project team members and clients.
  • Help prepare technical reports, Basis of Design narratives, and project documentation.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Two to five years of experience in HVAC design for buildings.
  • EIT certification preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, and HVAC load calculation software.
  • Basic understanding of ASHRAE standards and applicable building codes.
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.


Compensation Range:
$83,978.91 - $95,975.90
