Responsibilities

  • Maintain manufacturing plans, Bills of Materials, and work instructions for documentation purposes.
  • Support the integration of suppliers and processes to meet delivery goals.
  • Review supplier data for compliance with manufacturing standards.
  • Initiate tooling orders based on engineering needs and senior leadership guidance.
  • Assist in tooling dispositions and resolving limited-scope manufacturing issues.
  • Contribute to producibility assessments with direction from senior peers.
  • Engage in design reviews to ensure alignment with cost and schedule objectives.

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

Job Description

We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!

Responsibilities:
  • Assists in the maintenance of various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions, and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration.
  • Assists with the development and integration of suppliers, processes, materials, data, and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements.
  • Assists in reviewing supplier data to ensure manufacturing-related requirements are met.
  • Initiates tooling orders under guidance of senior leaders based on manufacturing and engineering requirements.
  • Assists in tooling dispositions.
  • Assists in investigation of manufacturing-related issues of limited scope.
  • Assists with producibility assessments for part or product designs under guidance of senior teammates.
  • Assists in reviews design, manufacturing processes, and manufacturing technologies to meet costs and schedules.
  • Assists in development of work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments.
  • Provides ship side support under guidance of senior teammates
  • Works under detailed supervision.


Qualifications:
  • HS/GED/Equiv required. Associate Degree or trade school in related discipline and/or 5+ years of manufacturing planner, or production experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Blueprint reading
  • Exposure to P6 or other GANTT-style schedules
  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office products.)
  • Understanding of the Manufacturing Engineering Organizational function.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.


Desired:
  • 3 or more years of relevant manufacturing planning experience in an aerospace company
  • Knowledge of GD&T
  • Experience with Manufacturing & CAD Software (Jules, CMES, Velocity, Enovia, Delmia, CATIA, CREO, Etc.)
