This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will support the design, development and fabrication of space launch vehicles and components to support human spaceflight programs. This is a hands-on position that requires strong communication, organization, planning, and project management skills.

1ST SHIFT, Mon - Fri 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Team Focus & Domain Expertise:

The JARVIS Team focuses on welding & fabrication, machining, final integration and assembly and testing of large tooling, prototypes, landing platforms and other launch infrastructure. We are the premier Manufacturing And Development TEAM on the Space Coast.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate manufacturing schedule and coordinate the availability and controlled flow of materials and services to meet customer requirements
  • Perform shop order release/closure in MRP System and reconcile parts
  • Provide detailed status of work in progress, material availability, and communicates constraints to schedule
  • Prepare work orders to produce parts based on MRP, master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements
  • Coordinate with the warehouse, inspection, quality, operations, purchasing, engineering, logistics and the program.
  • Schedule and expedite the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders
  • Work to expedite any material shortages with procurement, receiving, quality, and other production areas
  • Implement material stocking strategy on production lines, monitor, control and maintain proper floor stock
  • Control the proper access and consumption of material in manufacturing
  • Monitor the flow/velocity of jobs through the production line and partner with Manufacturing/Operations to ensure work completes on time to schedule.
  • Monitor the velocity of the disposition of Nonconformances, Material Review Board decisions for material/parts/assemblies
  • Enter material transactions in Manufacturing Execution System (MES). Prepare reports and note shortages/damage
  • Process Scrap and obsolete inventory from Work In Process (WIP) locations as required.
  • Prepare for, conduct and assist in reconciliation of cycle counts
  • Work with Engineering and Warehousing teams to resolve part discrepancies
  • May be required to interface with departments throughout the company
  • Must possess good organizational skills, the ability to work well with others, good decision-making skills, and the ability to think outside the box


Qualifications:
  • 7+ years supply chain, logistics, scheduling, demand planning, or planning experience
  • Experience with activities related to planning and/or scheduling
  • Experience with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP)
  • Experience working with a cross functional team
  • Excellent computer skills with MS Office, MES experience with MRP execution desired.
  • Excellent written /verbal communications skills
  • Demonstrates understanding and can apply continuous improvement terminology/tools: LEAN, Six Sigma principles/DFSS/Lean design principles, Value Stream, and Kaizen is highly desirable
  • Highly detail-oriented communications and record-keeping skills

Desired:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business Administration, or similar.
  • Familiar with Coupa/Costpoint provisioning systems
  • Flexible to work varied shifts, overtime, weekends and travel on occasion
  • Based upon job duties, may need to work in various areas that may cause exposure to fumes, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals (well below OSHA and ACGIH exposure guidelines), outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts and/or be part of a hearing conservation program due to noise levels around certain equipment.
  • Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as necessary.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems
  • Ability to handle multiple decisions based on workload dispersion, program priorities and management and customer decisions
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc)
  • Strong interpersonal skills including excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong math and analytical skills to solve problems

  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
