Full Job Description
Compensation: 105-115K

THE ROLE

The Mechanical Engineer troubleshoots machines and develops new ideas for automated machine improvement using the latest technology, tools, and methods. This includes identifying areas for improvement, maintaining high levels of manufacturing and product quality, and ensuring cost efficiency and conformance with regulatory standards. This role will take ownership of engineering projects and actively engage and support production and maintenance team members.

TOP RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the analysis and optimization of manufacturing processes to drive down scrap, increase production efficiency, and improve laminate quality.
  • Design and implement creative solutions for manufacturing challenges, including automation systems, quality enhancements, and safety improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new manufacturing processes, ensuring seamless integration with existing operations.
  • Provide technical expertise and hands-on support for troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues, utilizing root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process specifications, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence, utilizing Lean Kaizen methodologies and other best practices.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in manufacturing engineering, and make recommendations for adoption as appropriate.


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering position
  • Bachelor's degree in a related Engineering field (Industrial, Electrical, Automotive) with a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a manufacturing facility
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks software-preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of implementing successful process improvements.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
