Full Job Description
Requisition ID: 262032 Contributes to the overall success of the first line Enterprise Operational Resilience Program, ensuring specific individual goals, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Is this role right for you? In this role, you will: • Support the Director, Operational Resilience, in the execution of the Enterprise program for Operational Resilience, led by the SVP, Enterprise Operations Resilience in Global Technology. • Work closely with the Director and Lead, Operational Resilience, on supporting the execution of the identification of Critical Operations (COs) and the mapping of people, premises, processes, vendors and technology against COs. Once this is complete, consolidating identified vulnerabilities and outlining coordinated remediation efforts. • Oversee the creation and sustainment of key channels to inform key stakeholders. • Support the development of governance materials including RMC and ORC committee updates, the Operational Resilience Executive Steerco, and ensures the timely documentation and distribution of these materials. • Support in the creation of enterprise templates for the Operational Resilience program based on the outputs of the Operational Resilience pilot, to ensure consistency across the Bank's footprint. • Support the tracking of progress against key metrics, and provides key data points to the analytics team to support enterprise reporting. • Maintain the to-be-developed taxonomy related to Operational Resilience and enterprise-consistent templates for all business lines to leverage. • Maintain training materials related to Operational Resilience for key stakeholders in the coming fiscal year. • Eventually support the rollout of new guidelines and standards for scenario testing at Scotiabank in line with general resilience. • Track progress against a consolidated map of regulatory requirements including DORA, E-21, B-10 etc. • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct. • Champion a high-performance environment and contributing to an inclusive work environment Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
