What You'll Do

Samsung Semiconductor is seeking to fill a Manager, DRAM Customer Quality to support Tier 1 customers for DRAM products. This is a customer-facing role responsible for coordinating failure analysis of advanced memory products such as LPDDR, DDR components and DIMMs, HBM, or GDDR used in customer's applications. The role requires a subject matter expert capable of facilitating the exchange of information to address key concerns related to product specifications, application, platform debug, quality, compliance and ad hoc inquiries. The role requires the tracking and reporting issues for visibility, escalation as needed and follow-up.

We are looking for a technical, customer-focused engineer with skills and/or interests in supporting emerging technologies. You should be able to gather and report critical information in a timely manner to expedite analysis and response and be comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment. Your ability to interact across multiple teams over global locations will be critical to deliver the highest customer satisfaction.

Location: Daily onsite presence at our San Jose Headquarters in alignment with our Flexible Work policy with 20-30% travel.
  • Work with customers directly to identify, document and then publish reports to track technical issues requiring response, manage customer responsiveness expectations.
  • Take leadership in frequent communication with customers and engineering team members to understand their quality requirements and then working to align on these goals both internally and with the customer.
  • Manage outbound communications to customers, including Failure Analysis/8D, Change Notifications, monthly or quarterly performance reports to ensure deadlines and customer expectations are met.
  • Create and maintain a system to track details for a customers' Quality related requirements across global teams.
  • Drive solutions to deliver consistent results and sustainable customer satisfaction impact.
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or related discipline with 10+ years or Master's with 8+ years or PhD with 5+ years of experience. Master's degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline a plus.
  • Semiconductor memory or closely related semiconductor industry experience.
  • Experience in a B2B customer facing role supporting highly technical content.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills is a must.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to edit, clarify and consolidate customer expectations and report out on short timelines.
  • DRAM or other high performance memory IC design, application, test, or product engineering
  • Platform design related to memory controller or memory channel and interface.
