Position Summary:
This job leads the overall food safety and quality programs within the Corporate Food Safety & Quality pillar of Bonduelle Americas.The Manager, Corporate Food Safety and Quality is responsible for the development, oversight, and execution of the Food Safety and Quality programs at all internal BA manufacturing facilities and internal warehouses/3PLs.This position effectively collaborates with facility operations leadership and cross-functional departments to drive the food safety and quality metrics, compliance and continuous improvement in products and processes to meet internal, customer and regulatory requirements.
This role is a key part of BA's success by directing the development, implementation and continuous improvement of food safety and quality assurance systems, standards and programs to ensure the delivery of safe, wholesome, quality products to our customers nationally. The ideal candidate will demonstrate acute critical thinking skills and ability to craft and execute solutions in a fast-changing environment. This candidate must be forward-thinking in their approach to maintain the food safety and quality of our products, while modeling and acting in accordance with Bonduelle's mission, vision and BCOME principles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversees food safety and quality systems at all internal sites, including manufacturing and warehousing, from raw material receipt to customer• Develops, maintains, communicates and verifies all produce related food safety and quality policies, procedures and records, including oversight for programs in training, change management, document lifecycle and document control systems (e.g. version control, document distribution, archival, retrieval, retention and destruction) • Responsible for aligning or benchmarking the food safety and quality programs against the larger Bonduelle organization and food industry, where possible. • Assists facilities with audit readiness such as SQF, Commercial Food Sanitation (CFS), customer, regulatory etc., and serve as Corporate team lead during such audits • Oversees the hygienic design, traffic flow, sanitation programs, and environmental monitoring program for all sites in accordance with CFS and regulatory guidelines • Focus on continuous improvement, process controls, performance metrics and customer complaint resolution • Operates as a quality champion in digital quality and food safety systems/applications for data gathering and analysis • Using data analytics as a continuous improvement benchmark to drive digital systems and data management capabilities, including metrics and reports • Support the Sales/Consumer Relations team in addressing any food safety or quality concerns from our customers/consumers, this includes providing communication, questionnaires, requests, portal support, etc. • Serve as technical resource/expert in food safety and quality for both internal and external customers • Liaison with the BA Product & Development and larger product execution teams to ensure food safety and quality integrity with new products or changes in existing products • Responsible for the Corporate internal audits program to verify compliance • Assists in execution of product recall and traceability exercises • Support our environmental and social initiatives to drive progress against our Environment and Social Governance model and B Corp certifications • Support our B!Quality Initiatives and drive consistency across all internal plants • Lead large scale complex projects, teams and tasks • Lead and influence cross functional team, as needed • Perform other related responsibilities, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
