About the Role

We are seeking a strategic, collaborative, and execution-focused Private Label Cereal Commercialization Manager to lead the successful commercialization of our private label cereal portfolio.

In this highly visible leadership role, you will oversee the end-to-end commercialization process for customer initiatives, new product launches, product changes, cost savings projects, harmonization efforts, and discontinuations. You will serve as the critical connection between customer requirements, business objectives, and cross-functional execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with excellence.

This position combines customer-facing engagement, project leadership, process improvement, and people management. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at influencing across functions, and is passionate about developing high-performing teams.

What You'll Do

Commercialization Leadership
  • Lead the end-to-end commercialization process for Private Label cereal initiatives, ensuring flawless execution from concept through market launch.
  • Oversee a broad portfolio of projects including new product introductions, customer-specific SKUs, product changes, harmonization initiatives, cost savings projects, and product discontinuations.
  • Serve as the commercialization subject matter expert, ensuring adherence to established processes while identifying opportunities to improve speed, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to proactively identify risks, remove obstacles, and maintain project momentum.

Customer & Business Partnership
  • Serve as the primary commercialization liaison for customers, participating in customer meetings and providing project execution updates.
  • Coordinate customer timelines, requirements, and expectations to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Partner closely with Sales teams to communicate product changes, network optimization initiatives, commercialization plans, and key business updates.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with both internal stakeholders and external customers.

Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Commercialization Project Managers and Product Change Managers.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
  • Mentor team members in project management best practices, leadership capabilities, stakeholder engagement, and effective communication.
  • Provide clear direction, performance feedback, and growth opportunities to support team success.

Project & Portfolio Management
  • Ensure commercialization projects remain on track, meet business objectives, and achieve established timelines.
  • Provide visibility across the organization through project status updates, portfolio reporting, performance metrics, and issue escalation.
  • Balance multiple priorities while ensuring resources are aligned with strategic business needs.
  • Collaborate with teams to execute high-priority or accelerated projects that require creative problem-solving and agile decision-making.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Sales, Customer Strategy, Marketing, R&D, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality & Regulatory, Graphics, Master Data, Legal, Customer Solutions, and other key stakeholders.
  • Drive alignment across functions while ensuring accountability for project deliverables.
  • Build strong partnerships that support commercialization excellence and customer satisfaction.

We are seeking a leader who can successfully balance strategic thinking with operational execution while inspiring teams and driving results through influence.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Food Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG), commercialization, project management, product change management, operations, supply chain, customer management, or a related business function.
  • Minimum of 3 years of people management experience.
  • Proven experience leading complex cross-functional projects from initiation through execution.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive accountability without direct authority.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, change, and competing priorities with a positive, solution-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Experience working with private label products and customer commercialization processes.
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing, supply chain operations, and product lifecycle management.
  • Experience leading continuous improvement or process optimization initiatives.

Work Location & Hybrid Work Model

This position is based in Lakeville, Minnesota, and follows a hybrid work schedule with employees expected to work onsite three days per week (Tuesday-Thursday).
