Job Description Responsibilities:- Expense Management for US Headquarters
- Build and run a recurring, reliable, transparent, and insightful monthly expense results process.
- Partner with budget owners to review results, drivers, variances, and forecasts.
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and leadership-ready outputs.
- Partner with business leaders to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial performance.
- Consolidation of Transamerica Inc. Expenses
- Analyze monthly expense trends and investigate significant variances against budget and forecast
- Coordinate with subsidiary finance teams to ensure accurate and timely expense reporting.
- Develop and maintain expense consolidation models, reporting tools, and process documentation.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities across subsidiaries.
- Develop and execute chargeback model for US Headquarter costs
- Determine annual costs to be charged to subsidiaries versus shareholders utilizing financial modeling.
- Partner with the Tax department to ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and transfer pricing requirements.
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to validate cost drivers and allocation assumptions.
- Prepare annual chargeback calculations, supporting schedules, and executive-level summaries.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience
- Ten years of financial analysis experience, including work in the insurance, financial services or investment management industry
- Expert knowledge of accounting/finance
- Expense management expertise - strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Strategic thinker able to communicate on business/market and legislative issues at a macro level
- Organizational and prioritization skills, and the ability to make timely decisions using the appropriate information
- Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills to provide complex information to diverse audiences
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office, Excel and financial business systems
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience working with foreign subsidiaries
- Experience with Anaplan, Essbase, and Oracle
- CPA/advanced degree
Working Conditions- Hybrid (In Office: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays)
The Salary for this position generally ranges between $128,000 - $170,000 annually/per hour. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company's discretion.
