  • Manage Drawing and Data Transmittal Schedules (DDTS) and process engineering requisitions.
  • Identify and communicate schedule risks, ensuring alignment with all stakeholders.
  • Lead project team meetings to address scheduling issues and upcoming work.

Position Summary

The Lead Project Planner/Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining integrated CPM schedules, covering engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning. This role ensures effective schedule management, objective reporting, and collaboration with project teams, and vendors. The position also involves schedule analysis and risk identification.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Develop, integrate, update, and monitor engineering, materials, equipment fabrication, and construction project schedules.
  • Create and maintain baseline schedules, perform Critical Path analysis, report variances and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) monthly.
  • Coordinate vendor and subcontractor planning and expediting.
  • Track and expedite materials, components, systems, and drawings per purchase agreements.
  • Process engineering requisitions and manage Drawing and Data Transmittal Schedules (DDTS).
  • Ensure appropriate lead times in collaboration with Supply Management.
  • Address schedule-related challenges with engineering, procurement, and vendors.
  • Process purchase order receipts and approve vendor invoices.
  • Track scope changes through our Deviation Management System (DMS) and integrate them into project schedules.
  • Identify, assess, and communicate schedule risks.
  • Prepare, present reports and options on Project's critical paths.
  • Lead project team meetings to present upcoming work and resolve scheduling issues.
  • Provide variance analysis and early warnings on critical or near-critical activities.
  • Ensure timely project closeout and compliance with contractual requirements.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project planning/scheduling for medium to large-scale projects.
  • Industry experience in Power Generation, Energy, Utilities, or Petroleum preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle's Primavera P6, Costpoint, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to perform "what-if" schedule scenarios and analyze engineering changes with minimal disruption.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • PMP/PMI certification preferred.
  • Primavera training certificates (P102, P106, 601-603) preferred.
