Full Job Description
We are currently seeking for a visionary leader to guide its manufacturing initiative. This individual will provide leadership for all manufacturing operations, technical services, and supporting functions to ensure the safe, efficient, and profitable production of Moisture Separator Reheaters (MSRs), Feedwater Heaters (FWHs), Surface Condensers, and other heat exchanger products. This role is accountable for plant performance, including safety, quality, delivery, customer satisfaction, workforce development, and full P&L management. The Plant Manager drives operational excellence through Lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement initiatives, effective resource utilization, and strategic planning to achieve business objectives while maintaining high standards of quality and operational reliability. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage all manufacturing operations, personnel, and departmental performance. • Develop and implement manufacturing strategies that support company goals and business objectives. • Oversee hiring, training, performance management, employee development, and compensation planning. • Establish production, productivity, quality, customer service, and operational improvement strategies. • Manage manufacturing budgets, control costs, and support financial performance. • Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives and improve production efficiency. • Lead problem-solving efforts to address production issues and performance gaps. • Ensure products meet quality standards and continuously improve manufacturing processes. • Oversee preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and uptime. • Plan resources and monitor production schedules to ensure on-time customer deliveries. • Maintain compliance with safety regulations and legal requirements. • Evaluate equipment investments, facility improvements, and capital projects. • Analyze production overruns and support continuous improvement through lessons learned. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in a field preferred with a minimum of 10 years of management experience in the overall direction of manufacturing functions. • Hands-on manufacturing experience in a job shop heavy steel welding and fabrication environment. • Excellent communication and the ability for directing, training, analyzing and correcting operating inefficiencies. • Must possess a good understanding of financial management / financial astuteness, as well as possess abilities in problem solving and decision-making based on company policies and procedures. OTHER PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Performs bending, climbing and reaching from ground level to six feet in height. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Manufacturing environment with temperature extremes, hazards from things like lasers or welding arc, or other environmental hazards.
