Turo's hosts set the prices that millions of guests see, often with imperfect information about demand, seasonality, and what guests are willing to pay. Our job is to provide pricing guidance and tools that help hosts earn more while supporting a healthy marketplace. The Lead Product Manager, Host Pricing, will own Turo's host-facing pricing experiences and lead a full-stack development team building recommendations and tools that improve host earnings, guest conversion, and marketplace health. This is a senior individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Product Management, Pricing, with meaningful ownership and a direct connection to marketplace performance. You'll be responsible for improving both the quality of our pricing recommendations and the experiences that help hosts understand, trust, and adopt them.
What you will doOwn the product strategy and roadmap for Turo’s host-facing pricing experiences, leading a full-stack development team to set direction, prioritize tradeoffs, and improve how hosts price their vehicles.
Partner closely with data science and engineering to improve recommendation accuracy and adoption. Understand why hosts override recommendations and develop experiences that increase trust and drive better pricing behavior.
Build simple, effective pricing tools that make Turo’s recommendations easy for hosts to understand and act on.
Use marketplace data, host research, and behavioral insights to identify opportunities and continuously improve the host pricing experience.
Design and analyze experiments to measure how our pricing products affect host behavior, earnings, conversion, utilization, and marketplace health.
6+ years of product management experience leading cross-functional teams to prioritize, build, and ship high-quality products.
Experience building products at scale in a marketplace, travel, hospitality, rideshare, e-commerce, or another data-intensive consumer business.
Strong quantitative instincts and experimentation rigor. You're comfortable partnering with data science and analytics, evaluating tradeoffs, and measuring impact in a marketplace where network effects can complicate experimentation.
Strong product judgment and an ability to turn complex data, models, or systems into intuitive user experiences.
You can clearly articulate product strategy, tradeoffs, and decisions to influence partners at all levels.
Experience building pricing, revenue management, yield management, recommendations, or marketplace economics products.
Background in economics, statistics, operations research, or a related quantitative field.
Familiarity with ML-based pricing or recommendation systems, and a practical sense of their strengths and limitations.
