Lead IT systems

Job Summary: Ensure proper management of and enhance the company's information systems including; computer systems, networks, databases and other communication systems by implementing and sustaining quality maintenance and developmental programs Knowledge and Skills (Education): • Good knowledge of general PC computer systems. • Good knowledge of both UNIX and Windows OS environments. • Good knowledge of Automotive OEM CAD environments (Catia, Unigraphics, Teamcenter, IDEAS). • Good knowledge of Automotive OEM CAD transfer methods. • Good knowledge in computer networking. • Good verbal and written communication skills. • Good organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. • Good management skills. • May be required to have proficiency in languages other than English. • Associates degree in computer science or equivalent. • 6 years of related experience or equivalent. Major Accountabilities: • Installs, configures, and maintains computer servers, and assist user community with general computer usage. • Maintains and upgrades desktop and server operating systems and computing images including virus protection. • Maintains and upgrades OEM CAD environments per specifications. • Assists users with day-to-day computer usage issues. • Applies patches and firmware upgrades to servers and other network equipment as required. • Administer user accounts in Windows and UNIX environments. • Develops, tests and implements Disaster Recovery Plan. • Maintains IT records. • Consults on IT related asset purchases. • Manages CAD Data Administration. • Required to work extra hours and travel to meet Customer needs. • All other reasonable duties and responsibilities assigned as deemed necessary by Supervisor. Working Conditions: • 70% office,30% plant floor (PPE required) Effort/Physical Demands • Constant communication with employees, peers, and management • Overtime as required Health and Safety Responsibilities • Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company Rules, Plant Rules, policies and procedures • Must use or wear equipment, protective devices or certain clothing as required by the company
