Full Job Description
This position reports to:
Strategic Program Director

In this role, you'll develop, implement, and manage the strategy and relationship with assigned data center-related accounts for the ABB Electrification (EL) business, specifically related to the Industry, Building and Channel (IBC) organization. The position will have significant cross-functional responsibilities across the ABB EL. As the point person for the ABB IBC relationship within those accounts, this position is responsible for growing share of wallet, profitability, and elevating customer satisfaction. Coordinates executive relationships within the accounts, sets goals, tracks pipeline, organizes sales activities, monitors current projects, and manages the resolution of the strategic customer challenges.

The work model for the role is: remote (#LI-Remote) and willingness to travel as needed is required.

Your role and responsibilities:
  • Lead Strategic Account Planning: Develop and implement account plans and Statements of Work (SoW) to drive growth across divisions and locations.
  • Drive Customer-Centric Sales Strategy: Understand key business drivers and risks (e.g., sustainability, digitalization, cybersecurity) to shape tailored sales strategies and targets.
  • Build Trusted Relationships: Engage decision-makers within data center organizations, delivering comprehensive ABB solutions aligned with customer needs and profitability goals.
  • Enable Competitive & Coordinated Execution: Monitor market trends and competitors, apply standardized sales tools (e.g., Salesforce), and ensure a unified approach to sales planning and issue resolution.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing or related field and a minimum of 10 years of experience within the industry OR Associate's degree and a minimum of 12 years of experience within the industry.
  • Experience working with data center customers is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of the Electrification products
  • Proven ability to conduct market analysis and develop business plans with a structured, strategic mindset; experienced in building strong relationships with electrical contractors, distributors, and channel partners. Brings a technical background (preferably in the data center market), strong communication skills, and an agile, collaborative leadership style that fosters teamwork and innovation.
  • Solid technical understanding of 3-phase AC power systems including, but not limited to: medium and low voltage switchgear, medium and low voltage motor control centers, switchboards, panelboards, and ancillary electrical distribution products and experience with quoting projects for contractors
    Solid technical understanding and field sales experience selling power monitoring and control software, associated metering and communications systems, direct current, and battery energy storage/microgrid solutions.
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $119,000 and $190,400 annually and is eligible for a short-term incentive plan/annual bonus.
