CAE is seeking an experienced Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) to support the Canadian Future Fighter Lead-In Training (FFLIT) program. The successful candidate will work within a team of training professionals responsible for the design and development of interactive eLearning solutions for Defense and Security clients.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Apply the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) methodology throughout the training development lifecycle.
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather and analyze data, conduct cognitive task analyses, and define and categorize competencies.
Lead and coordinate the training development activities of CAE employees and subcontractors.
Assign work, organize priorities, and monitor team progress against project milestones.
Track project schedules and support adherence to delivery timelines.
Escalate schedule, scope, or resource issues as appropriate.
Provide project metrics, progress updates, and status reports to project leadership.
Serve as the primary liaison between the development team and management.
Review training materials and courseware to ensure compliance with established development standards.
Provide constructive feedback to team members to support quality and consistency.
Develop, maintain, and manage instructional design, writing, and media standards.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support training development objectives.
Participate in training analysis and instructional design activities as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in Education, Adult Education, Instructional Design, or a related field with relevant professional experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in instructional design, computer-based training development, or a related learning development discipline.
Experience collaborating with Subject Matter Experts to develop training solutions.
