The Opportunity

The IAM Access Governance professional is responsible for supporting the organization's identity governance and administration program, including access reviews, user lifecycle controls, role-based access governance, segregation of duties monitoring, and compliance reporting. This role helps ensure that access to company systems, applications, and data is appropriate, authorized, and aligned with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and information security standards. The IAM Access Governance role works closely with IT, Information Security, Compliance, Audit, HR, and business stakeholders to improve access governance processes and reduce identity-related risk.

What you will do?
  • Administer and support identity governance processes, including user access reviews, certification campaigns, entitlement reviews, and remediation tracking.
  • Monitor and maintain user access controls across applications, systems, and platforms to ensure access is appropriate and aligned with job responsibilities.
  • Support joiner, mover, and leaver processes by validating access provisioning, changes, and deprovisioning in coordination with HR, IT, and business teams.
  • Review and analyze access requests for compliance with company policies, approval requirements, least privilege principles, and segregation of duties standards.
  • Partner with application owners and business leaders to define, document, and maintain roles, entitlements, access profiles, and approval workflows.
  • Prepare and maintain IAM governance documentation, including access control procedures, review evidence, exception records, role matrices, and audit support materials.
  • Investigate and help resolve access governance issues, policy violations, orphaned accounts, excessive privileges, and certification exceptions.
  • Generate reports and metrics related to access reviews, remediation progress, privileged access, entitlement risk, and overall IAM program effectiveness.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing access evidence, responding to inquiries, and assisting with remediation of audit findings.
  • Contribute to IAM process improvements, automation opportunities, system enhancements, and implementation of new identity governance tools and procedures.

Required Qualifications
  • 2 - 5 years of relevant experience in identity and access management, information security, IT compliance, audit, application security, or related IT fields
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, cybersecurity, computer science, management information systems, business administration, or related field
  • Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM), or IAM/IGA platform certifications a plus but not required


Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of access reviews, role-based access control, segregation of duties, privileged access controls, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong understanding of identity and access management concepts, access governance, user lifecycle management, and least privilege principles.
  • Ability to analyze user access data, identify control gaps, and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with IAM, IGA, ITSM, directory services, or enterprise application access management tools is preferred.
