Transaction & Portfolio Management: Oversee the Transaction Management program, partnering with broker teams to assess site requirements, evaluate opportunities, and negotiate lease terms.
Financial & Budget Oversight: Lead REWS annual operational budget development, resource allocation, and continuous cost-effectiveness strategies across the global facility portfolio in partnership with Finance, Legal, and Alphabet stakeholders.
Vendor & Service Partner Management: Manage domestic and international service providers, contractors, procurement, and contracts to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions, including robust 24/7/365 maintenance and redundancy planning.
Strategic Business Alignment: Build strong relationships with key business partners to understand requirements, deliver optimized solutions, and proactively provide timely new capabilities for Verily's business, engineering, and operations teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Risk Management: Partner across internal and external functions—including Legal, Procurement, Security, and Operations—to effectively manage portfolio risks, compliance, and operational alignment.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 15+ years of business experience, including 10+ years leading real estate, facilities, EH&S, or workplace services. Must have experience managing multi-site, rapid-growth environments spanning office, lab, depot, and manufacturing spaces.
Strategic & Operational Execution: Proven track record in strategic planning, daily operational management, and safety-conscious execution while prioritizing and driving progress across multiple complex tracks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Leadership & Executive Presence: Exceptional business partnering, presentation, and influencing skills, with a demonstrated ability to guide decision-making and lead discussions at the C-Suite level.
Preferred Qualifications
Team Building & Scaling: Success in building and developing high-performing REWS teams across complex, multi-site global geographies, ideally guiding a company from early-stage R&D through to a mature operating entity.
Portfolio & Risk Expertise: Advanced project/portfolio management and analytical skills, including deep familiarity with international, federal, and state financial, legal, and regulatory considerations in real estate and facilities management.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $158,000 - $237,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
