Full Job Description
The GTM Strategy & Operations Associate will join a global team driving Datadog's next phase of growth. We're interdisciplinary thinkers leveraging diverse business backgrounds in tech, management consulting, investment banking and business development to accelerate Datadog's global growth. We work directly with Datadog's most senior leaders to set corporate strategy, improve efficiency across the business, support data-driven decision-making, own complex operations, and more.

In this role, you will identify opportunities for revenue growth and design strategic go-to-market (GTM) initiatives by evaluating business tradeoffs and partnering with senior leaders to shape GTM strategy. You will drive key planning processes, including capacity planning and quota planning, optimization and expansion strategies, and KPI design and measurement. Additionally, you will lead critical operational initiatives and long-term strategic projects that improve execution and help build the foundation for the company's continued growth.

At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.

What you'll do:
  • Strategic roadmap development: Develop short- and long-term GTM strategies by identifying growth opportunities, setting business priorities, and aligning sales and growth targets. Lead strategic planning initiatives, including headcount and KPI planning, incentive design, and cross-functional projects to improve execution and accelerate revenue growth.
  • Global quota ownership: Own quotas for the global Sales organization - build and maintain quota models, adjust them throughout the year in response to org changes, and drive stakeholder alignment along the way.
  • GTM analysis, reporting, and modeling: Analyze sales and GTM data to identify trends and understand efficiency by channel. Develop data models to support GTM planning and quota setting. Collaborate with leaders to adjust strategies as needed.
  • Strategic partnership with GTM leaders: Support sales and other GTM leaders by shaping their future vision, prioritizing their objectives, and executing on top objectives.
  • Data visualization: Build dashboards to deliver actionable insights
  • Support for GTM & Strategy team initiatives: Assist in high-priority projects and initiatives within the broader GTM & Strategy team

Who you are:
  • Experience: 1-3 years in GTM/growth/revenue strategy, management consulting, investment banking/equity research, or a similar role as a business analyst
  • Strategic thinking: Independent capability to dissect complex issues into fundamental elements and outline clear next steps
  • Quantitative analysis: Strong quantitative modeling abilities: can model any operational question with high attention to detail and explain the key tenets to senior business stakeholders
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of synthesizing complex concepts and providing regular updates to senior stakeholders
  • Ownership: Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and take direct responsibility for outcomes in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Strategy, and Product teams
  • Organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, each with unique challenges and stakeholders
  • Presentation skills: Ability to create presentations for senior and executive level audiences
  • Creative problem solving: Comfort with ambiguity and ability to structure nebulous problems
  • Experience with BI Tools (Tableau, Looker, Metabase, etc)/SQL or a willingness to learn on the job

Bonus Points:
  • Prior experience or familiarity with Sales / CS Strategy
  • Experience working in a SaaS or high-tech company
  • Experience manipulating and analyzing complex datasets using SQL and/or Python

Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you're passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.

Benefits & Growth:
  • Generous and competitive benefits package
  • New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan
  • Continuous career development and pathing opportunities
  • Employee-focused best in class onboarding
  • Internal mentor and cross-departmental buddy program
  • Friendly and inclusive workplace culture

Benefits and Growth listed above may vary based on the country of your employment and the nature of your employment with Datadog.
